The African continent has become the cradle of modern Christianity. It has the highest rate of conversion to the faith anywhere in the world. In 1990, only two percent of all the world’s Christians lived in Africa, today that number is 20 percent. Experts believe within 10 years it will become the continent with the largest number of Christians in the world.

The Christian movement ‘Born Again Christians’ have set out to contribute to this development by 'saving' a billion people before the year of 2050. Their African Harvest Mission sprawls the continent with the aim of converting people to the faith. In March 2011 the crusade came to Kampala. Over 15,000 people attended the month long festival of salvation.
